Our fantastic head chef, Sam Billson, joins No.5 from Sandy Park, home of the Exeter Chiefs and Exeter’s Premier Conference & Banqueting Centre where he spent the past three years.
Training at the Michael Caines Academy, Sam’s professional resume includes some of Devon’s most successful establishments; Exeter’s Mercure Southgate Hotel, The Lazy Toad at Brampford Speke and the former Magdalen Chapter. Head chef Sam brings with him not only exceptional skill but the experience to match too.

Named after the incredible iconic view in which this room serves, the Cathedral View restaurant offers guests the same luxurious, locally sourced menu offered in our Botanical restaurant. Decorated in a more modern, relaxed style, this room is perfect for families or those looking for a less formal group dining experience.
